How to Play in eHockey
Follow these 5 steps to create your account, connect your Discord and console gamertag, pass verification, and sign up for the season.

Make an eHockey Account
Create your account on the website to get started
- 1Click Sign In / Create Account in the top navigation bar (or use the button below).
- 2Register using Discord SSO or your email address.
- 3Once signed in, head to your Account page so you can link your Discord and gaming accounts.

Link Your Discord Account
Required for league communications, role sync, and gamertag scanning
- 1Open your Account Page and make sure you are on the Connected accounts tab.
- 2Under the Discord & Gamertags section, click Connect Discord & Scan Gamertags and authorize eHockey in Discord.
- 3Join the official eHockey Discord Server so the league bot can sync your gamertag nickname and team roles.

Link the Gamertag Connected to Your Discord
Your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live gamertag is pulled directly from your Discord Connections
- 1In the Discord App first: Go to User Settings → Connections and connect your PlayStation Network or Xbox account to Discord. Make sure “Display on profile” is turned ON.
- 2Back on eHockey: Go to Account → Connected accounts and click Scan Discord (or Re-scan) inside the Gamertags box.
- 3Check the Privilege to Play acknowledgment box, then click Select next to the PSN or Xbox gamertag that appears from your Discord connections.
Why don’t I see my gamertag when scanning?
eHockey does not allow manual typing of gamertags to prevent spoofing. Your PSN or Xbox account must be linked inside your Discord app under User Settings → Connections before clicking Scan Discord.

Pass Account Vetting
Automatic NHL history check or quick staff review to keep the league fair
- 1Automatic Verification: As soon as you select your connected PSN or Xbox gamertag in Step 3, eHockey checks your EA Sports NHL history automatically.
- 2Manual Admin Vetting (if required): If automatic verification cannot confirm your NHL history, your account is placed in Pending Vetting for a quick review by league staff.
- 3Sync Your Discord Roles: Once verified, click Scan Roles on your Account Page to apply your verified league roles in Discord.

Sign Up for the Season
Register for the draft, bidding, or mid-season training camp
- 1Pre-Season / Full Season Sign-Up: Visit the active league signup page or Off-Season Hub, choose your primary & secondary positions, console, and game-night availability, and submit your signup.
- 2Mid-Season (Late Sign-Up): Joining after bidding/draft has ended? Use the Late Sign-Up page to be placed into Training Camp and play as an ECU call-up.
- 3Watch Discord & Your Locker Room: Once signed up, you’ll receive your Discord roles automatically and can track your team, schedule, and availability in the Locker Room.
